Daybook for 08/23/2013

FOR TODAY (08.23.13)

Outside my window... the sycamores are sending a cool breeze my way.

I am thinking...about how to save the gallon of milk that is on verge of expiration.

I am thankful...that it is Friday.

In the kitchen...there is homemade vanilla pudding setting in the fridge.

I am wearing...my pajamas. It has been that kind of day.

I am creating...a knitted gift.

I am going...to pick up my farm share this afternoon.

I am wondering...when Lily will get used to Ish being back to work.  It is so sad watching her wander around looking for him all day.  It's been 2 weeks.

I am reading...The Universal Sense by Seth Horowitz

I am hoping...that naptime does both children some good.  They are as antsy as I am for the weekend to begin.

I am looking forward to...autumn.  I am ready for the leaves to change color and the air to be crisp and cool.

I am learning...how to effectively use the washing machine that came with our house.  Mostly I just need to figure out diaper wash all over again.

Around the house...there are lots of boxes to be unpacked.

I am pondering...about the value of mindful gratitude.

A favorite quote for today...“Remember this, for it is as true and true gets: Your body is not a lemon. You are not a machine. The Creator is not a careless mechanic. Human female bodies have the same potential to give birth well as aardvarks, lions, rhinoceri, elephants, moose, and water buffalo. Even if it has not been your habit throughout your life so far, I recommend that you learn to think positively about your body.”
--Ina May Gaskin

One of my favorite things...little baby kicks.

A few plans for the rest of the week:The week is almost over.   We do have plans to get Little Ish a haircut this weekend though.

A peek into my day...I still haven't located the USB cord for my camera in all the moving stuff so no picture today.
